St. Nick Visits Barrhaven, Riverside South

A large turnout in Barrhaven on Sun., Nov. 19 and another big crowd on the morning of Nov. 25 lined Spratt Road as Santa Claus visited the area.

In Barrhaven, yet another large crowd greeted St. Nick as the Barrhaven parade continues to be one of the largest in the city. A strong team of volunteers has been working tirelessly to keep the annual tradition alive. This year, the parade got sponsorship support from Barrhaven Ford, Caivan, Primo Self Storage, the Barrhaven Legion, the Half Moon Bay Community Association, and Councillors David Hill and Wilson Lo.

The parade not only brought thousands of people together, but thousands of non-perishable food items were collected for the Barrhaven Food Cupboard.

In Riverside South, the Toy Mountain Parade also collected a lot of items for a great cause as Santa brought up the rear of the parade. The Riverside South Community Association organized the parade with the help of many dedicated volunteers.
