Ottawa Police Issue 20 charges in Barrhaven this weekend

It was a busy weekend for the Ottawa Police who were in Barrhaven and Riverside South, handing out a number of charges during a safety road blitz.
On Twitter they said the crackdown resulted in the following:
- 12 speeding charges
- 3 equipment violation charges
- 3 document charges
- 1 suspended driver charge
- 1 stunt driving charge (128km/h in 60km/h zone)
For three consecutive weekends now, Ottawa Police have been focusing on speeding and stunt driving within the Barrhaven community. It comes after countless calls from the community on the issue.
A week prior on Nov. 13, officers issued 28 speeding tickets during a one night blitz, as well as one ticket for stunt driving to a driver caught going 111 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
And on Nov. 6, police issued 63 tickets during a blitz in the south end, including seven for stunt driving, and 35 for speeding.
